All othe part numbers are posted above in post # 31. Are you sure your saw doesn't have a chain catcher? They all come from the factory with at least the curved aluminum piece.
I'm sorry, I should have been more clear and said roller chain catcher. It has the aluminum piece and yes it's still there. I was confused about the part #'s since it looks like 1122 650 7700 may include the sleeve which is 1122 656 6600. I just wanted to be sure about whether or not to order the sleeve if it will already be included with 1122 650 7700.

If you ditch the stock chain catcher don't forget the 1122 640 8300 buffer...
Okay thanks. I almost missed that. I can't quite tell but from the diagram it looks like that bolts in place of the original curved aluminum piece, correct?

Lectrocrew, does your saw already have the dual spikes?
Yes. I took this photo today.

Lectrocrew, the whole roller catcher is part# 1122 650 7700 and I think it's only like $6.00 or so. Seems like it wouldn't really be worth the time and effort to make your own.

Your right. I'll order it tommorrow. I've got to go by the dealer to pick up some other parts anyway.
Thanks!

I'll order it tommorrow.
I ordered this morning #s 1122 650 7700 / $6.08 and 1122 640 8300 / $10.74
But in the mean time I turned down some teflon stock to .080" diameter (about what the sleeve looked like to me judging by the pictures} then cut to 1.250" wide and drilled to 13/64". I used a m5 x 38mm bolt and nut secured to the outer spike so the sprocket cover can be removed. This will do till the Stihl parts arrive. I'll leave the solid catcher on till I install the bumper.

4 photo's of roller chain catcher

Thanks guys!!! :)

:monkey: I think you might be dissapointed when the stihl part arrives.

Your one looks pretty good to me
