MS640 / ms460 pistons! are they they same?

I have to replace my 640's piston and can get a good price on what I've been told is a new 460 oem (Mahl) piston...both have 52mm bores...anyone know if they're the same piston or not, thanks!

Meteor makes pistons for the 064.

It is same dia, less height.

I believe the skirts are wider on the 064 and makes a nice replacement piston for a 460 that is being ported as it lets you widen the ports a little more.

No, you'd have to remove material from the squish band for the taller 064 piston (and not cut the base at all on the 046/460 jug.) You'd also have to shorten the skirts on the 064 piston.

Thanks psuiewalsh & everyone...thats what I needed to know...not what i'd hoped but sort of expected with 4mm difference in stroke
