Looks good.
What did you make the frame out of? It looks plenty stout.
Is it a manual lift or motorized?

I'm assuming that eventually, you are going to box in those band wheels for safety sake?

How 'bout some close up pics all around?

Ted

hi ted
yes the band wheels will be enclosed soon
the saw head is motorized from a 24v wheelchair motor and the lifting device is a 2 post car ramp with acme threads in side the frame is mostly scaffold tubes and 2 i beams its got 2 combo van axles and the band wheels are from a old saw i picked up on ebay it has took 2 months so far to build on and off i shall post more photos later ....cool site this

Really nice looking setup. I just finished welding the headrig/carrier for a chainsaw mill I'm building and would like to see your dogging setup. I've got a few ideas and have seen some good ones but theres always room for improvement. I've spent alot of time on a swingblade mill and that was definitely the weakest part of the system I was using. Keep the pics coming and feel free to share any ideas, looks like you got plenty of em. Thanks for sharing.
