Useless Sawbuck Rails
You will stub your toe and trip occasionally on any sawbuck pictured thus far on this thread. That's because all of them are fastened all the away across the bottom by a useless 2 x 4 rail. OP's side rail on the bottom is also useless.

Regardless of how you make one, it will be criticized by some. Too pretty, too ugly, etc. Who wants to eat cookies that are laying on the ground when cut?
