So long story short I got a chance to snap up a stihl 044 10mm wrist pin version from an auction.. got it dirt cheap as it was an ex state emergency services unit i was told an was too old an abused to be used any further, plus some one stole parts from it to use on another saw an on top of that it had parts broken etc etc so yeah in bad shape..
Didnt think i would have the time to rebuild it nor the money!!! but i ended doing it. I didnt take pics at the start, only decided to do that mid way through. I used all oem stihl parts for the mechanical side an a few aftermarket parts for the cosmetics clutch cover and puller and tank
Any way before an after pics..i am happy with it.needs a slight tune but runs dam good so far..
