Need Nature's Comfort Help!

I have a buddy, that has a Nature's Comfort 250 Outside Wood Boiler and we cannot get the bottom ash door to seal. We've put on a new gasket; Has anyone had this problem? Or does anyone know what to do about it? -- Does anyone know if they make better gasket rope? We used the white one. Thanks!

I'm doing this blind (no pics), but make sure you are using the correct sized gasket. If it's not sealing, it sounds to me as if it's too small.

If it doesn't have one, order and install the drawer latch. The latch was added in 2009 or 2010 or so.
