Needed: 044 piston and muffler.

Looking for a used but servicable early (small pin) 044 piston, also need a muffler, thanks for all replies.

You might try PM'ing thompson1600. Tom seems to always have an 044 or 440 or parts thereof for sale on ebay. Also try klickitatsacket. I've gotten a good number of good Stihl parts from him. Both good guys.

There is a 044 parts saw on craiglist.org under tool section for fifty bucks, no bar or chain, missing brake handle but rest is there so like may be seized.

I have a brand new 10mm (small wrist pin) piston for an 044. It's genuine Stihl not aftermarket. I also have lots of used mufflers.

Yes craiglist.org under tools section 044, powerhead for parts complete has broken brake handle, in Santa cruz but fifty bucks pretty god.
