- Starting shot for the new DOLMAR Professional Chain Saws -
The quantity production of the new DOLMAR Professional Chain Saws is running at full speed. The reason: the three new professional chain saws will be dispatched to the trade in time for the chain saw season.
The new professional power chain PS-7900, PS-7300 and PS-6400 with saw bar lengths from 38 cm to 70 cm stand out in every detail. In performance and technology, in design, in quality and in user convenience. Powerful, durable engines, which feature the typical Dolmar engine characteristic - high torque over the wide speed range - drive the three professional chain saws. Their output is 4.6 kW, 4.2 kW und 3.5 kW. The low fuel consumption from a large-capacity tank allows long duty periods. Thanks to their compact construction, the chain saws offer a distinctly favourable price/performance ratio. This is for example with the most powerful Dolmar PS-7900 model only 1.37 kg/kW and therefore distinctly lower than that of comparable professional chain saws on the market.
The high development cost with investments in the 7-figure deutschmark range makes itself felt particularly in the details. The vibration damping via strong steel springs offers excellent vibration values. These distinctly reduce physical stresses and therefore allow longer working periods. In addition, the steel springs take up less space and cannot be attacked by either oil or petrol. A technical advance is the lateral chain tensioning facility, which is integrated in the sprocket cover. A fairly long, slightly pointed chain tensioning pin is inserted in the bore of the saw bar and in that way prevents wrong assembly. This facilitates chain tensioning and virtually excludes the danger of injury. Chain lubrication can be accurately adjusted by a 70° turn of the regulating screw in the minimum- and maximum positions. The pump delivery rate can be exactly set to the bar lengths from 38 cm to 70 cm and in that way prevents the chain from running dry.
The automatic half-throttle stop, which is important for starting, is actuated via a choke lever which combines half-throttle and choke. The already simple start of the chain saw is on some models made even easier by pressing the blue button for the decompression valve.
Over 300 professional users from the woodland and forestry sectors and from communities in Germany, Europe and overseas countries subjected the new Dolmar Professional Chain Saws to the most extreme trials in forestry and agriculture. They all, even sworn users of other makes, were entirely convinced by the performance characteristics, the professional handling and the distinct user friendliness.
Apart from the small distance between the saw bar and the outer edge of the housing, which ensure a low stump height and therefore a profitable timber harvest, users were impressed by the tool-free filter servicing. Releasing two steel clamps makes it possible to remove the filter cover. Another clamp holds the air filter in place, which despite its modest external measurements offers approx. 20% more filter surface than, for example, the Dolmar PS-6800 i Chain Saw.
During servicing the integral chain brake with the external sprocket distinctly facilitate the fitting of chain and saw bar as well as the cleaning of the entire chain space. The Czech forestry college championships 2001 in Pischk were attended by 26 competitors from 18 forestry colleges. In front of numerous interested visitors and under the eyes of a strict jury, the participants put their technical expertise to the test.
With a clear distance from the runners-up, Jiri Anjel gained first place with the new Dolmar PS-7900 Professional Chain Saw. This victorious new professional chain saw will go into full-speed batch production with three powerful models any day now.
Second and third places at the Czech Forestry championships were secured by Husqvarna, fourth position went to the participant with a Stihl chain saw. In addition to gaining the national championship, the victor Jiri Anjel was very specially pleased about a brand-new Dolmar Professional Chain Saw.
