New member from NJ. Found the site looking up information for a Skil 1612 that I used growing up and am trying to get back in running condition. Dad's old saw that was used on/off for roughly thirty years and then sat for the last ten years or so. Sentimental value for me and going to be a learning experience since this is the first chainsaw I've ever worked on. Disassembled and mostly cleaned up - waiting for a few parts before reassembly begins. I had read elsewhere on the web that this saw was sold with some differences (anti-vibration, chain brake) as various models under the Frontier (F35/FB35), Partner (1612), Skil, Husky (34) and Jonsered (M36/M361) badges. I don't know if anyone can confirm - after eyeballing some photos and a general assembly diagram I'm relying on similarity with Husky 34 for a couple of the replacement parts, particularly the fuel/oil tank gasket.
