Evan, just went back and had a look at the photo's.
The top photo it is correct.
The second photo for some reason it is upside down.

i went back and looked to. i can tell the lower ring is upside down. i can barely see it well enough to tell.
but i doubt this would cause compression to fall way below normal
It wouldn't even go together with the ring upside down.
With a big enough hammer it would!!!
After the ring broke off.
then it would be one of them go fast 1 ring piston's LOL
