I'm passing on Bob's book "Lies, Logs, & Loggers" about post WWII logging. Interesting read about the tough work in the PNW then. Then. Great drawings, some bad jokes, good accounts of the work. (Don't ever whine about your saw misbehaving: they topped the last 20 " dia part of 200' monsters by hand !)
Interesting analogy to the combat camaradarie--logging must have been hard then.

Sounds like a great read. I'm in Canada so I wouldn't expect you to send it all this way, but I will save the title for future purchase.
