Wonder if and when they will be out of stock forever. Can't imagine
Echo selling a lot of them. The 1201 is one hell of a saw.

i hope they notify the public before discontinuing
distributor was landing 3 batches a year
now its 2 for this year on, im assuming the need for such big saw is in decline and will be out in few years ?

You quoted me $1150 USD, shipping included to the US last fall, when the exchange rate with the Real was about 3:1 USD/BRL. Today it’s close to 4:1, and the price has only barely budged.

I would expect not expect a Swedish/Global company to work in Brazilian Currency other than paying the local workforce/vendors.
Ford does not work in Pesos when selling Mexican built cars... etc....
plus... these saws may have been built years ago. Nothing says the cost is/was todays cost.
$1100 all in is not bad for a new 6hp saw of this quality level.

My bad, I thought they were being sold out of Brazil, not import/exported from Malasia. I forgot where you were, Robin, my mistake.

no problem buddy, most people get confused with commodity trading where price fluctuates with currency. it doesnt apply for manufacturing most times, those are agreement of supply/demand at said price. price fluctuations are absorbed by both parties.

i'll be more than glad to give you guys better price if i do get them
