So we are thinking the 26th might work better than the 5th. That way it may be warmer, and close enough to the compitition at Eagle River that it will be good practice. Let me know what everyone thinks for that date.

I am planning on having a gtg at my place Feb 5, 2011. I am located in Southern Ontario near Tillsonburg, which is about 2 hours from Toronto, Detroit, Flint, and Buffalo.I think that there will be some races, some chopping, and some big wood to cut. This is going to be a just for fun event, but there should be some good compitition to run against. If anyone is interested let me know.

If the weather is good I'd like to come. Fast saws, big wood and a chance to meet your Avator, I hope?

I'd like to come. Anybody know what the rules are on transporting saws and fuel across the border? I do know that when you come back, there cannot be a spec of dirt on the saws. We've had tractor pullers refused reentry to the US for dirt on the tires.

So far crossing hasn't been any issue they recommend you stop and declare the saws before you cross. They will give you a card you record the make, model and serial on to prove you didn't buy them while in canada. Nobody has even looked at our saws when we have crossed or questioned about the gas and oil jugs in the truck.

I try not to make any promises, but I can definately say I wanna do this one pretty bad. I'll see if any of the boys down here wanna come up. We'll either stay with my folks or Banacanin in Stoney Creek. I also may be able to talk one of my friends that lives near Banacanin to come. I'm hoping to have a couple of 261's to bring.

500 is about right per person.
Your ex-boss/friend is on the south coast of Georgian Bay and is about 2 hours or better away.
