Here's another chain-related question:
This is a brand new piece of Oregon 72 full chisel. I'm wondering what's the purpose of the rounded drive links and will they work on a regular spur/rim sprocket?
I've never seen drive links like these before.
Thanks.

Howdy,
That's something Oregon did for awhile, and I think they called it "durapro". It was supposed to have less vibration. There's no problem running it with standard sprockets.
Regards
Gregg

I suspect a side effect may be that the chain doesnt clean as well between the bar rails, but I don't know if it matters.

It was an issue on longer bars but ok on the shorter bars. The rudder link chain was discontinued a few years ago.
