Wasn’t sure if I should post this here or in the sawmill forum.
I ordered a blade sharpener for my Ripsaw bandsaw mill, and it turned out to be a 12 volt chainsaw sharpener. I haven’t tried it yet on the bandsaw blades. The Ripsaw manual says to put the stone into each gullet at 90° to the blade.
I have always hand-filed my chainsaws (Husky 137 and 345) using the Husky sharpening guide, I’m thinking about trying this thing on my chainsaws.
The instructions are very brief, but it looks like it would be easy to figure out how to use.
Has anyone used one of these for chainsaw or bandsaw sharpening? Any advice before I start grinding away?
