Original Stihl seal extractor

I bought this from my dealer for almost $200 ...every time I tighten up the main bolt to pull the seal it slips out on the two pullers...also, I tighten down the wing nuts as much as possible that tighten the pullers against the seal
I'm sure I'm using it correctly has anyone else had the same issues?

Not sure many homeowners (or their helpers) have experience with chain saw speciality tools or saw rebuilds. You will have much better luck posting in the chainsaw forum.

If you bump the seal down first... to break it loose they will move with the puller much easier. ...

Thanks, I realized the seals were so old there was nothing that could get them out other than literally piece by piece
