got a p100.. very good consistent runner. interested in seeing about a source for the piston/rings to upgrade it to "super"

(debating swapping this, some 111s parts and/or some 2083 parts for a stihl in the 056-090.... or maybe 070-090 range or modern equivalents.... but thats a secret)

not a wanted/for sale ad... i know where the trading post is... just getting some heated discussion going

The P100 is a nice saw.
What's the difference between the pistons.
P100 and P100 Super.
I bought a couple aftermarket pistons for
the P100 on Ebay.

Doe's anyone have pic's of both pistons if there different.

i was under the impression that its supposed to be slotted.

i could be remembering it wrong but PES+ told me there was some difference. the guy is also such a font of knowledge that on the rare occassion i am fortunate enough to see him in person he gives me enough info to spin for a few months.

I thought the pistons were both the same on these saws and the McCulloch Pro/Power Mac 1000.
Was it not other minor differences which seperated them rather than the engine?

from what i understand the mcculloch version (jonsered methinks too) is the super version of the partner saw.
