Plant Health Care (IPM) Technician

We are in search of a Plant Health Care Technician. We are looking for someone who is PASSIONATE about PHC/IPM.



Qualifications:

The Ideal Candidate will be an ISA Certified Arborist or have a Degree in Plant Science, Horticulture, Arboriculture, Forestry, Biology, Plant Pathology, Plant Physiology or equivalent experience. Ability to diagnose pest, nutrient, or other landscaping issues impacting trees and shrubs. An understanding of soil and nutrient relationships and how to manage these issues. Must be able to work independently and be self-directed. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Must have a clean motor vehicle’s record (minor infractions will be reviewed on an individual basis).

Must be or have the ability to become a Ohio Certified Certified Pesticide Applicator within 6 months.



Tree Care Inc:

We are located in Dayton Ohio. This is a wonderful area for raising a family. Our location offers the option of rural or urban living within a very short distance of our facility. Our market is large enough to support a thriving arboricultural firm, but small enough to have a reasonable cost of living and a “small town” feel.

We have 8 ISA Certified Arborists and 1 BCMA on staff. Our current PHC program has a heavy bent towards the use of organics and soil remediation.



Wage / Benefits:

Wages will be based on experience and training. Wages will be in accordance with or exceed industry standards. We offer Health Insurance, 401 K, paid time off and continuing eduction reimbursement.
