Are these saws as sweet as they look?

Chris

Very clean lookin saw, Duke. I've never run one, but did a little research on here when one came up for sale locally. By the time I found out the saw had a rep as a good cuttin', strong saw, it was gone :msp_angry:. Glad you got a nice one.

It had some issues with it I got squared away, the muffler bolts were a loose/missing as well as some of the hardware on the recoil had some backyard mechanic work done to them.

When I had the muffler off it looked about brand new in there and still had plenty of visible machining left on the piston.

Well, they may be an amazing saw performance wise but I think it would come in about 9th runner up for 3rd place in the beauty contest...

you must be 1 strong some of a gun to be able to pick up a 757:msp_biggrin::msp_biggrin:

it is a neat looking saw,, good score

I haven't had an issue so far with the muffler loosening on either one of mine, but that seemed to be one of the knocks I heard about them. I've run mine with a 36" bar and also a 32" bar before but I sure like the way they go with a 24" set up.

One thing about both of mine is they like to flood on a cold start up so with any hint of a burp, the choke goes back in.

Where'd you find that one? Doesn't look to be in too bad of shape.

Congrats. I'm a Shinny fan... I love my 680, BUT..... I think the "Shriner Hat" air filter cover is FUGGLY. I know there is a fantastic filter under the cover, I just wish they would have shaped it a little different. I hear they area great saw though.

I think the saw actually looks pretty good, I'm a pretty good fan of the filtration system.
