Also i didnt know the p41 had a manual compression release or is that a "special feature"? It is has been a dutch army saw cause it says NL army special better pictures will follow

Thats a nice remmington looks like a beast haha one thing i just don't like is that it is not metric, one screw that holds the spikes on is bad and i wanted to put a longer one in. But cant find the thread anywhere. How do you over there check what threat it is? Metric is just measuring the outer size of the screw and thats it an m5 bolt is 5mm in diameter but this is inches this thread is very coarse
and i think it is withworth

Well Bill the one man chainsaws started come into their own around the early 1950`s, and have come a long way since. The Pioneer saws were a Canadian design back when we were American Standard Thread ,AST, sometimes referred to as American Standard V Thread. Canada went Metric after Pioneer saws was dismantled by a Poulan takeover so they were made using Standard thread screws and bolts, some of us are old enough to remember those times.

And some of us would like to go back there, now we are frustrated by 2 systems. What the hell is a kilopascal and does liters/100 kilometers make any sense?
Can't change building material, we'll always have 2x4's and sheets of plywood have to be 4'x8',although they have managed to screw up shingle sizes.

Not something I ever wanted as I was already mostly set for standard size tools, metric caused me to tool up all over again so that we have two tool chests full of both versions if one does any serious quantities of mechanical work, metrification was just an extra expense for most of us.
