Thank-you again Treebeard!
You are sure right about pruning and fertilizing......everyone has different opinions, but for our tree, for now we have decided to wait to prune.
I am sure we have been watering correctly. We are careful to water only the root ball....and I am confident we have done OK in that department. The tree experienced some 'wilting' last July when it was first put in, but seemed to quickly recover from that.
And the arborist that came out yesterday said that what we have done for mulch is fine. We have wanted to landscape also in the area near the tree, but have waited so as not to compete with the tree.
Thanks again!
Lynda
