I'm afraid I have to disagree with my good neighbor to the East. I believe the most likely candidate to take up residence in a woodpile is the furry
faced woodchuck. I had one in mine for most of last summer but then he
apparently moved on. He wasn't causing any harm so I left him alone.
I vote Opossum, I'd feed it and leave it there, then at night when the wood thieves come for your wood they'll be in for a nice suprise. I usually find some decent sized (4'+) black snakes but I leave them there. If they ever attack my ankles their history
