I paid $699 +tax for mine at my local hardware store a month ago. I've cut a cord or 2 with it and have been very happy with it.

372 rocks

Bought mine for $665 with 24" bar. Needless to say my 24" bar is brand new hanging on my garage wall. I put an 18" Oregon Powermatch bar on it with some Pro chain from Bailey's and this thing goes through wood like it's possessed! It cuts 3x faster than my 55 rancher which hasn't seen ANY action lately. I love this saw enough to buy another one as a back-up.

Mine came with a 20" bar and a sucky chain, I have to pro chains ordered up from Baileys as we speak.

Whew! I don't get out much, and its a good thing for my budget. I paid $489 for my 372 a few years ago. That was in New York. My dealer in New Mexico wanted $720. I guess he was just thinking ahead of his time.

Wow, you got a deal! My dealer is a pretty straight shooter and he said his cost was around $600 in a single buy.
