Question for canola/biodegradable bar oil users

I've been trying the Motion Lotion Bio-plus for the last two days (Saturday and today) through about 3 tanks of gas/oil and two different chains. I'm using an Sthil MS250 16" bar. I'm felling and cleaning up dead trees (anywhere from 4" to ~20" DBH with the majority about 10").

Is it expected for the crud on the chain and the bar to clean off? On both chains I've used the crud has softened and basically disappeared. Or is this a sign of the chain getting too hot? (probably not and doesn't feel different from standard Stihl bar oil).

Any other problems to expect? I've read most of the previous threads and all of the problems some people have state that might occur really don't seem to be a problem.

I've noticed the same thing, I believe it's the different oil, not heat.:greenchainsaw:

My chain and bar seem to stay cleaner when using canola.
