I had to disassemble the gas tank on the way to going through the saw motor and making sure everything was clean. The original seal is a cork gasket, which of course now won't re-seal (nor did I expect it to!). So the question is, what other means of sealing that seam could I use? Or do you just cut out a new cork gasket out of flat stock?

I bought a nos gasket from eBay from randys engine repair it was a little dirty but still very pliable it worked fine for me I recommend using yamabond for any tank sealing endeavors,
