Hi Group!
I'm rebuilding my Husky 372 XP, due to a 'connecting rod to crankshaftbearing' failure.:msp_angry:
This is my first rebuild, so I am useing the help of an experienced friend.
The cylinder is ok, and just needs a light honing.
I'm replacing the Crank/piston/rings/seals/gaskets and any associated bearings etc.
-My question is: On the very bottom of the crankcase (inside) there are some scratches, which can be 'emery-papered' out.
There are however, two "micro-small, hair cracks" about 1/8" or less long, on the outer edge of the housing/case, which do go through the housing/case.
Is this a critical issue???
Could these be sealed with, say 'JB Weld, or Liquid /Steel etc?
I am currently unemployed, and HAVE to keep my repair costs to a minimum!
(So, I'm hoping that I DON'T have to buy a new [or used?] case/housing). :msp_scared:
I'm planning to buy all needed parts from Bailey's, as I've delt with them for years, and they are very reliable.
Any input would be greatly appreciated! :msp_wink:
