Red Maple diseased?

Hi all. I was wondering if someone could help me out as I know almost nothing about trees. I planted a Red Sunset Red Maple a couple of months ago. Things were going fine until recently I noticed some spotting on the leaves. I've done some research online but cant find any definite answers. The spotting is occuring on even the newer leaves. I don't know if its diseased or if I am watering incorrectly.. or maybe its just still in shock. Here are a couple of pictures, maybe it will help someone help me out. Thanks in advance.

Thanks! I had ruled out tar-spots because I don't think the spots are "raised" on the leaves. But if thats what yall think it is, then thats what it is. Thanks again!

KNFX, there are several leaf spot diseases of maple and it's difficult to diagnose on the computer. If the spots aren't raised it could be another problem. Take a look at these to see what symptoms fit. Some have better descriptions then others.
