Red Pine

I recently got access to a few dozen downed red pines for milling, about 18" to 24" DBH . They are about a 40 minute drive from my house.

Anyone have any experience with this wood. I have been dealing with a lot of Eastern White Pine. How does Red Pine compare in terms of strength, workability, rot resistance and appearance?

Red pine of any size here, goes to the log home market... I have milled a few, and for me, it milled just like white pine... I'd take all i could get...
