Has anyone ever tried to get a jug replated if you scorn the sides. I seen snowmobiles redone just wondering what it might cost

I have a contact for getting race jugs replated, but any platers I know of can only work with jugs that are open on both ends with a removable head. Cost wise your looking at about the same as a new factory jug anyway, no savings, just that you can make stuff you cant buy, and fix things that can't be replaced easily.

Plater I am sending stuff too does good work, the bores are far harder than factory, I know this when the replated bore is hard to cut with a diamond stone, carbide hardly puts a scratch on it.
