Well, I had some time and swapped the new spider for the old, put a bit of 680 on the shaft and tightened it up. I let it sit for a few days and fired it up today. Works great.
I made a few cuts on a 36" madrone with my tiny bar and got depressed. It's been a long time since I've had to cut from both sides. I may have to take up MM's offer on the 404 sprocket.
Aside from my laziness, the saw did well and sounds great.
