Need some advice on whether y'all think this might run or not.

Cylinder is off an 026.

I removed all (or most) of the Aluminum transfer but have some pretty deep gouges present.

See before and after pics.

Will a new Meteor piston and Rings hold good compression?

Or should I trash this one and find a good used oem

Yup. Because of that thread I now have a foredom. Haha!

I cleaned up this cylinder with 120 grit Emory. Still gotta hit it with 180 and 320 along with scotchbrite

If they are actually a gouge and not transfer it will run fine as most of them are below the exhaust. It may mark up a new piston as it brakes in but will be superficial. I wish i could feel for myself but a pic is as good as ill get. Also running jugs like thst are not for resale only for personal use.
