just what it says have a friends 488. pretty clean little saw, getting plenty of fuel and he put a new plug in it, so I checked for spark next. No go! I made sure the run switch was working properly, it is. my question is ignition coil or exciter coil and is there a good way to check?
ok so I took my dvom and checked to see if it had ac voltage on the wire coming from the excitor going to the ignition coil and it produced 3 volts spinning the crank by hand, had to take the pull rope off to get to the wire conector. does this point to a bad ignition coil?
Thanks guys!!
