Looks like it would work. I would add a wirecore lanyard if you will be using a chainsaw. And some PPE eye/ear/head etc. Maybe also a rope saver sling as well depending on what style technique you use.

That is the same Saddle I had to start work with 27 years ago. You may find something newer. Weaver leather has a new Saddle more like the Fly for around $185.00, Good Rope$120.00, Throw line and bag $25. that Wire Core Flip line . It may be a good Starter kit. Look around maybe just Piece it together with newer tools
