Is sour cherry good firewood?

Are you refering to fruit trees or black or choke cherry?

In any event, they burn fine when seasoned.

I am more of a dead elm kind of guy. Seems around here, everyone has a differrent preference.

Im not sure what type of cherry you speak of, but i have burnt black cherry. I like it. Dries fast and burns hot, just not all night.

I dont know of any cherry wood that DOESNT make excellent firewood. Somone here prolly does though.

Id have to say most all fruit tree wood burns well.
