mga wandering Joined Jul 6, 2006 Messages 27,165 Reaction score 14,260 Location Monticello Mar 6, 2009 #2 depends...if the log splits when half way thru, i back it up. if i'm splitting something stringy and it doesn't split in half, i back it up and throw another piece on to push that first one off. i've split kinding on the splitter using just 4 inch strokes.
