Sten air filters any good?

Need a new filter for my 028 Super, guy on ebay sells Sten filters. Could not find any info on saw filters, so time to ask the "experts".

I bought 1 last month for my 028 super, the pin in the slotted screw for the 1/4 turn knob wasn't located right, the cover would't go on. I just knocked out the pin and redrilled the hole in the right spot. if your old filter is no good u could just swap the screw.

JUNK.... We bought a bunch for for 028 and 024... PITA ... the chokes don'r work, the cases don't fit correctly.. Buy OEM, treat it nice and it will last many many years..

Had one on an 038. Actually restricted the air flow so bad you could not adjust the hi side lean enough.
Yep, buy the original, and do not scrub on it with anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It will last long time.
