Sthil 015 Problem

I have Stihl 015 purchased 30 yrs ago. it's been a great saw. Heres my problem, it runs well for about 10 min. then shuts down, like its running out gas.(Revs to very high RPM's than quits. ) I took it apart and cleaned the area around the coil, and it ran a little longer. I know someone will say I got my money worth out it, but I think it may be a small problem, can anyone help.

Anything with "Revs to high RPMs, then dies" usually means air leak. Possible pinhole in fuel line? Maybe tiny crack in crank case? I have a 30+ year old 015AV. A little cold blodded, but good little saw. (13 inch bar)

Are you saying it revs on it's own or when you open the throttle?

Mine used to shut off after it warmed up. I found the wire from the points to the coil rubbed through and shorted to ground on the bottom where it leaves the points enclosure.
