Stihl 011 avt throttle sticking wide open

Hi, I am new here, but I have a ?. My stihl is running wide open. I was cutting a log, saw got stuck, I shut it down to remove, when I fired it back up, it is running wide open. Any suggestions? Thanks

It is possible that when you got it stuck you pulled on it and the throttle cable was pulled out.

Pull off the 3 or 4 screws on the side of the trigger handle, remove the trigger cover, and have a look at the throttle cable.

It might have pulled out of the case on the carb side of the cable holding the throttle wide open.

You should be able to see what I am talking about when you remove the trigger cover.

Also something to look for is that when you finished cutting one of the AV mounts (bushings) may have broke and this would allow the handle to be futher back therfore pulling on the cable.
