My Stihl 011 is running on to high rpm on low idle.
I have replaced all the gaskets and diagrams in the carb, checked the fuel lines, because I thought there was an air leak somewhere.
The saw is also hard to start, it can run for a minute or so at full speed before it dies like the gas tank is empty.

The carb is an Walbro 99b.

Any suggestions ?

I hope not ! Can a leak on the exhaust side (muffler/manifold) cause this problem, running fast on low idle ?

You need to pressure/vacuum test 'er.

The impulse is fed through the intake to cylinder surface by way of a small hole.Make sure you didn't cover that up with the carb gasket.
