Yes!
You will have to have the complete ignition set up INCLUDING the flywheel from the electronic saw.
Actually, the 032s are going the other way more and more because the electronic coils are NLA from Stihl and a NOS one on e-bay will bring as much as the saw.

oohhh ok maybe I'll just get a new set of points then.maybe I could just file the points with a points file if there not to bad.thanks!!!!

No new flywheel needed. On this thread I used an old Shindaiwa trigger
unit, an aftermarket Nova module will work fine too.

I used a Nova II module for my 032.
I liked the upgrade.
It started quicker(a lot less yanking on the rope) and seemed to rev quicker with the electronic ignition.

Nova II module hook up
I am new to this site. I see that some of you have used the Nova II module on a 032 AV. Instructions show 2 wires from coil to points. The 032 AV has only one wire going to the points via the kill switch. Does anyone know the correct way to hook this up? I would appreciate any help available.

One wire goes to the coil/kill wire, the other goes to ground.
Not sure about the Nova II, I have called them Nova Modules, but have actually only used the Mega-Fire brand{Stens}, and the one sold by Oregon.

Napa sells the omega module. Its works great. Do a search for 031 points, you will find a lot of info here. Don't reverse the wires on the 032.
