As quickly as possible check for spark after the saw stops when hot, that is when coils break down and stop working.

What he said, and use a good plug with with way too big of a gap to test. Harder to jump spark under comp. so big gap to test system, I'd go to 0.040" and see if it jumps.

Also look for bad spots on the coil/ignition wires, and that pesky rascal of a spring that connects the coil wire to the spark plug (inside the spark plug boot)

I may have to find a different coil to try on it. I opened the gap of the plug up and checked spark cold and it had a strong spark. I than ran it until it died and checked spark and it had spark but it wasn't nearly as strong so that may be my problem.
