Stihl 038 ID from serial?

It’s an 028 made in Virginia Beach , likevthevone below
The Filter cover ridge is more pronounced lower bottom, on the 038 it is more pronounced at front top

Edit: like stated below. 3 squares across on fly cover on 028 and 4 on 038.
Piston diameter defies 038, 038 Super and 038 Mag ( which I think is 48mm, 50mm and 52mm respectively

028 is showing 3 rows of air vents on top ahead of the recoil handle, 038 is showing 4 rows.028 made in Virginia Beach

Besides the overall size, the serial number is another giveaway. 028AV's were made stateside but 038's stayed in Germany/Brazil.
How does the serial tell you that? (Honest question—I don’t know anything about Stihl serial numbers)

My 038 av super has the 3 rows by the pull handle. Just went out to the shop to confirm

028 LA screw vertical, 038 horizontal. I have never seen an 038 with the metal air filter screw.
Thank you all. I explained the situation to the seller and made him an offer. He declined. Oh well.
The 038s I've seen are wider at the top cover, that one appears to be an 028.
