Stihl 064 Gas Leak

I'm new here, sorry if my question has been asked. I have a Stihl 064 that leaks fuel when it sits over the top of the handle between the air filter cover and gas tank. When it sits over night the handle is covered in gas. I can't seem to figure out where it is coming from. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The Stihl dealer thinks it's the fuel line. does that make sense.

I guess it could have a crack in the fuel line or maybe in the tank itself..

It runs great. It could still have a Crack in the fuel line and still run good?

I read on here about a tank vent on the 066 could that be the culprit?

Sometimes a small crack in a fuel line will make it seem to run "too good" but it's actually running lean which will eventually destroy the engine..I imagine you could pressurize the gas tank a small amount to find the leak.

I had a saw that had a crack in the back side of the fuel tank and leaked when it wasn't being used. The fuel ran down the saw and looked like it was coming from somewhere else.

Fuel line at the carb or where it seats into the tank... maybe. 064s also have the old style tank vent that could leak as well. There's an orange rubber piece that can weaken It sits under the vent system.

Pull the fuel line off the carb and plug it. Let it sit over night, if it's dry when checked, then the leak is where the hose attaches to the carb.

Replaced the fuel line. It's fixed thanks for the response.
