Stihl 171 or 192 for carving?

For sure. All my long winded point was, if looking for a small rear handle, there's a lot of good cheap options.
 
I use the 192 rear handle a lot but only with an 8" dime tip or the .043 gauge chain. It just doesn't have enough power for me to carve hardwoods otherwise.
Never tried the 170.

Cannot imagine giving up either of my ms-200 saws.
