Stihl Chainsaw bearings question

I am rebuilding a Stihl 044 and the flywheel side bearing is sticking out of the case about 0.030 inches. And the flywheel side bearing is just below flush with the case. Are the bearings set at the right depth?

Did you compare the new bearings to the old?

On my 031 project,it seems they used at least 4 different bearings over the years for the PTO side crank bearing. 2 interchange and 2 don't.

Sounds like the bearing wasn't seated in the case.
