Stihl MS251 Wood Boss - Oiling Issues?

If I rev up my older MS250, within a few seconds it would toss a noticeable oil spray - but this MS251 won't.
How do I tell if the chain oiling system is working correctly on my new saw?

Just run the saw with the tip of the bar pointed at a log or something. You should see a mist develop.

I can't remember if the 251 has an adjustable oiler or not, have you looked on the bottom of the saw for an adjustment screw?

I have a 251, there is no oiler adjustment screw. If it is a new saw, it should spit oil. Maybe put out a cardboard box as it maybe easier to see it spitting oil. After Christmas, most of us have lots laying around

I bought my 251 2 years ago. It goes thru about 3/4 of the chain oil per tank of gas.

After a tank of gas has been used, is your oil empty or full?
With the bar off, & saw revving, you should see fresh oil running from the outlet.
