I got this Stihl MS500i today. I don't know much about this saw, has signs of wear but starts easily and runs. Working chain brake. Saw is sold as is.

Nice saw and a great price for that 500i sir. If the piston looks good that's a really good deal.
Will you remove the new bar plate and take a pic of the crankcase behind it?
Pull muffler and check piston first. Then dump fuel if any.
Now you can diagnose from there.
