Just completed first heating season with my boiler. I have cleaned it thoroughly and drained it. Is there anything else major I should do for rust prevention?

Thanks

Clean it out, cap the chimney, I like to toss a bit of lime in the firebox to nuetralize any remaining ash. Central recommends to leave to water in the tank as long as it is within the correct ph levels.

:agree2:
maybe even kick you pump on every other week to circulate the chemicals through the system.

definately fill up the boiler unless you want to buy new one in the fall... Boilers last a lifetime if its full all the time, if not it rusts in couple of months...
