Went in the mail this am. Complete carb, bolts, nuts, gaskets, linkage for choke and throttle, push buttons, trigger, spring, air filter and rubber grommets. I didn't want there to be an issue on something mating up. That old 300 has 130 lbs of compression and good spark if you need something else.

Thanks so very much. I owe ya one Marc!

I've got this little Husky 50 I need parts for, need clutch cover with brake, fuel and oil caps, and piston. Hopefully I can salvage the cylinder.

Want to port this thing, any other then stock pistons that work better?

I've been working on a piston to replace the windowed piston in the closed port 55.......I'm not sure about the 50 though.

There might be a way to make a Jonsered 490/Poulan 5000 cylinder work on that 50 chassis, if so- I can send Will one of the cylinders
I have and then he should be able to find a piston that would work. Or....I've been wondering if a person can't put a 346OE top end and muffler
on a Rancher 51/55 chassis.

Wanted OEM but I guess you gotta take what you can get. On the bright side I can take the money I saved and put to or get another saw.

Exactly- the last time they were even available, a new OEM piston listed for almost $200.

I built an 090 for a local guy that rips (quarters) big logs in the yard for the local mills and I used a Bailey's piston and that saw is nearing about 800 hard-driven hours
of service. He's running a 60" Cannon bar and .404" ripping chain.

I'm pretty sure I have a clutch cover with brake that will work on your saw. I can't help on piston though, I've never tried to port a 50.

Thanks guys. I was wondering if a closed port top end would fit on it, I'm sure it could be made to fit even if it doesn't bolt on. I just took it all apart and the saw is in really sweet shape, the cylinder has allot of alu transfer on it, could probably be cleaned up though. I'm going to start a thread on it, maybe someone else has some ideas.

Sounds good to me. I wont be running that thing that much.

The CP 55 cylinder will fit so I'm guessing the 5K cylinder will as well. I know Terry has (had) a 50 with the CP 55 on it.

If someone wants an OE to play with for this idea, I can probably scare one up with an old piston.

I'll just send you one of my 490 cylinders and you can go for it. I'll pack it in with the 385 parts.

I have an extra OE cylinder as well, plus I recently scared up an extra 357 crank, cylinder, piston, and muffler to make some sort of sleeper saw.

I'm thinking a Rancher 557.

Sweet, what's the 490 off of? Jred?

557 project sounds interesting.

Looking for (2) Stihl 025 model plates (the one that goes on the top cover). I've tried to order from the dealer. Back ordered now for 2 weeks. I've fished all my other places to find one that are close. ANYONE got a couple send me a pm. Please don't make me beg

Did you get your 250 linkage squared away?

Digger's Dad (Marc) is sending a complete carb setup.....so yes Sir, that is filed under "taken care of". :D

I'm glad to read this, it seems that my 250 carb linkage bits were previously sent to someone.

I need a brake band for a Sachs Dolmar 120 Super. Im sure others will work, just dont know which. Need it for a friend, hes helped me out quite a bit, so I would be happy to find one for him. Just let me know how much ya need, or what you need in trade.
