Can I get some recommendations for a good tach and compression tester? Don't need anything real fancy but don't want to buy junk either. Thanks.

Since I ain’t making my living at it but like you didn’t want junk, I asked around and bought a Mityvac 5530. Amazon for around $65 and free shipping. Haven’t tried it yet, it’s on its way.

Great. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

I have the PET 302r, it's been a good tach, about 70 bucks back in 2010.
The compression gauge needs to have a short inlet and the right shrader valve. The gauge itself can be checked, changed or calibrated.

Sure appreciate the help guys. I've been grabbing a few older saws so I figured it's time to get some diagnostic tools too.
